Sreekaryam is a place in Thiruvananthapuram city in Kerala, India.[1] It is located 3 km north of Ulloor, on the National Highway 47, and is about 11 km from Thiruvananthapuram Central Railway Station. It is place which is situated midway between Kazhakoottam and Trivandrum Town. It is almost 6 Km from Kazhakoottam. The Headquarters of ICAR-CTCRI is located at Sreekariyam and has an area of 48.19 hectors. The ICAR-Central Tuber Crops Research Institute (ICAR-CTCRI) a constituent Institute under the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) is the only research organization in the World dedicated solely to the research on tropical tuber crops. The Institute established in 1963 with its Headquarters at Thiruvananthapuram (= Trivandrum), Kerala has grown over the years into a premier research organization of international repute.
