Siona Fernandes (1983 - ) is a New Zealand amateur boxer.[1] Fernandes was born in Ribandar, Goa, India.
Life
Fernandes was born in India in 1983. She holds a Master's degree in Psychology and is trained as a dancer with a degree in performing arts. Siona has also completed a Master's degree in sport and exercise science. She became a boxer because of the opportunity created by boxing becoming an Olympic ambition.[2]
Fernandes competed for New Zealand at the London 2012 Summer Olympics in the Flyweight Division.
