Syed Shibli Faraz (Urdu: سید شبلی فراز) is a Pakistani politician who is the Leader of the House for the Senate of Pakistan since August 2018. He has been the member of Senate of Pakistan from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa since 2015. He is a member of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and was the runner up candidate for the slot of Deputy Chairman of the Senate of Pakistan.[1][2][3]

Faraz is an investment banker by profession and was a Pakistan Air Force pilot and then a civil servant. He has contested the election for the Kohat District mayor in 2002 and his uncle Barrister Syed Masood Kausar had served as the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa governor and his father Ahmad Faraz is one of coutry's acclaimed poets.[4][5]

He serves as the chairman of the committees on circular debt and commerce and textile in Senate. In August 2018, Prime Minister Imran Khan appointed Faraz as leader of the house in Senate.[6]
