Sevvur is a small village in Sivagangai district in the state of Tamil Nadu. It is located at 10°15′35″N 78°35′53″E / 10.2596°N 78.5981°E. Sevoor is a Chettinad / Nagarathar village of "Mela Vattagai" group.
It is a semi arid place which has many temples nearby. It is a very small village. It comprises three roads. The main street is known as the shivan koil street as it has a shivan koil. In the olden times there was only one bus to this place. It would start in the morning and then in the evening come back.
In the evening if you want to go for a walk then you can walk up to a temple named roat Perumal koil as is near to the road. It is just 20 minutes by walk for the village. While walking you will find lot of tamarind trees.
