Sean P. Stellato (born April 12, 1978) is an NFLPA, NBPA, and CFLPA Certified Sports Agent,[1] motivational speaker,[2] and author.[3] He has negotiated contracts with the Eagles,[4] Patriots', Jaguars, Packers and many other teams. Also done endorsement deals with: NBC Sports, Smoothie King, Dick's Sporting Goods, Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Harley Davidson and many more.

Stellato is an alumnus of Marist College where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communications, graduating cum laude, in 2001. He was named to the Communications National Honor Society in 2001 and to the MAAC All-Academic team for football and basketball for the 2000 and 2001 seasons.[5]

Athletics

Stellato attended Salem High School where he played on the football and basketball teams helping lead the football team to the conference championship and Super Bowl in 1994.[6] One memorable moment of Stellato's high school football career was his 40-yard touchdown pass with no time on the clock to beat Winthrop. That pass earned him a showing on 7 Wonders of the Week, which recognized the top 7 sports highlights throughout the country.[7]

Stellato was a team captain and Agganis All-Star in 1996. Sean was also instrumental in helping an undefeated (25-0) Salem High team win the State Basketball Championship in 1995.

At The Gunnery Prep school Stellato had a successful Post-Graduate year. He was M.V.P in football and basketball as well as being named All-New England in both sports.[8]

As a Division I student-athlete at Marist College in New York, Stellato was the leading receiver during the 2000 and 2001 seasons.[9]

Football career

Stellato played two seasons in the AF2 (AF2), signing his first contract with the Florida Firecats in 2002. He also played with the Louisville Fire and the Memphis Xplorers. He went to Mini Camp with the New York Dragons.[10] He became a member of the St. John's Prep football coaching staff in 2006.[11]

Books

Stellato is the author of two books: 4th and Long The Odds: My Journey[12] and No Backing Down[13] which chronicle his journeys in life and sports.[14] No Backing down is being converted to a screen play by Angelo Pizzo and was named Mascot Book of the year in 2014. It was also featured in the Patriots Hall of Fame in 2015.[15]

Philanthropy

Stellato is an active philanthropist having founded the All-American Fundamental Showcase in November 2007.[16] The All-American Fundamental Showcase is a skills tutorial for high school athletes looking to demonstrate their talent for local and national institutions. The All-American Showcase is officially sponsored by the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Salem (Massachusetts). Sean ran and completed the 2007 and 2008 Boston Marathons. He raised $7,000 for the Respite Center and Good Sports.[17]

Stellato is also an active volunteer at St. Judes Hospital and Shriners Hospital. He also supports Lifebridges Homeless Shelter, which is located in his hometown.[18]

For the past few years, Sean Stellato has been informing, provoking and entertaining sports fans, coaches and audiences as a motivational speaker. He appears at conferences, companies, schools and universities.

Covering a broad variety of sports and motivational topics in an easy to understand and entertaining fashion, Sean is a compelling speaker on subjects ranging from sports to training techniques to overcoming the odd.

Stellato's passion for athletics, sportsmanship, the human spirt and football are refreshing and inspiring to audiences of all ages and genders.

Honors & Awards

In 2013, Stellato was inducted into the Massachusetts Italian American Sports Hall of Fame.[19] That same year he was inducted into the Salem High School Hall of Fame and featured in Sports Networker "Top Agents in the NFL".[20] In 2014, Stellato was honored with the Moynihan Lumber Post Graduate Achievement Award.[21] In 2016, Stellato was featured on the October cover of North Shore Magazine Movers and Shakers.[22]

In August 2016 Sean Stellato was selected as one of the Business Journal's 40-under-40.[23]

In November 2017 Stellato was honored as Greater Boston's Ten Outstanding Young Leaders. Past honorees: JFK and Carl Yastrzemski.

In June 2018 Sean was inducted into the Gunnery Prep Athletic Hall of Fame.
