Saroke, (Urdu ساروکی and in alternative spellings Saroki), is a town located on the southwest side of the city of Wazirabad in the Gujranwala district of Punjab, Pakistan. It lies south of Khanki Head, southwest of Mansoorwali, east of Dharowal and north of Ahmad Nagar Chatta.
History
It has existed since the area was controlled by Sikhs. It is the most populous town in the sub-district (tehsil) of Wazirabad and was not widely known before the Martyrdom of Amir Abdur Rehman Cheema.
Education
Saroke is notable as the center of education for all nearby areas. These include Haider Memorial Higher Secondary School,[1] Pakistan Model Higher Secondary School & Girls Degree College and Govt High School. Private academies in Saroke include Shahroz Education System,[2] Umer Education Academy, Usman academy, and Youth Institute of Technology Ahmad Nagar Chattha Which is Computer Educational Institute Which offers Different Short Hand Certification Courses, Affiliated With Microsoft Certified Partner & Cisco certifications, Also Youth Group of Schools and Colleges.

Main Town
Most of the population live in main town. Most of educational institutions, clinics, hospital etc. are also in main town. Main town is subdivided into Mohallas (like sub-localities). These include:

Sub Localities
Islamabad
Islamabad, (Urdu اسلام آباد), is one of sub localities of Saroke. It is located to far north of the town and lies west of Saeedabad, northwest of Rehman Pura and East of Faqeeranwali Khurd. Peoples living in Islamabad are immigrants of Kashmir who migrated in result of First Kashmir war.
Rehman Pura
Rehman Pura, (Urdu رحمان پورہ), is one of sub localities of Saroke. It is located to north of the town and lies southeast of Islamabad and southwest of Saeedabad. It is a small locality. Peoples living here are Rajputs shifted from main Saroke town.
Faqeeranwali Khurd
Faqeeranwali Khurd, (Urdu فقیرانوالی خورد), is one of sub localities of Saroke. It is located to northwest of the town and lies west of Islamabad. Faqeeranwali is not populous as compared to Islamabad.
Jeune Wali
Jeune Wali is located to east of the Town.
Sports
Cricket, Foot Ball and Kabaddi are very popular sports in Saroke. Saroke got fame, specially in Kabaddi and played in district level. But Cricket is most popular game in Saroke.
Climate
Saroke has a hot semi-arid climate (BSh),[3] according to the Köppen-Geiger system, and changes throughout the year. During summer (June to September), the temperature reaches 35–41 °C (95–106 °F). The coldest months are usually November to February, when the temperature can drop to an average of 6 °C (43 °F). The highest-precipitation months are usually July and August, when the monsoon reaches the Punjab.
