Salehpur village in Goopalganj district block Sidhwaliya bihar on the river cost of Budhi gandak

Salehpur is a small village in Mullana tehsil in Ambala district of Haryana. It has population of over 2500. There are approximately 1000 plus authorized votes. Another very small village named Jamaal Majra is also under the control of Salehpur gram panchayat.

Late Sh. Sadhu Ram Saini continuously remained sarpanch of the village for a period that spanned well over 3 decades.

The livelihood of people here depends primarily on agriculture and some other agriculture allied occuations. Most inhabitants here belong to saini cast, but pandit, dalit, rajput, sikh, gadariya (shepherd community) and few others are also quite numerable like followers of Islam and Radha Swami.

Salehpur falls under the Mullana constituency in Rajya Vidhaan Sabha and Ambala constituency in Lok Sabha. Both of these constituencies are reserved for Dalit candidates only.

In the village there is Shiva temple, Nagar Kheda, Ravidas temple, Gurudwara and a Pir-Shrine. Residents here hold a strong belief in religious activities. As a result they ended up with two Gugga-Maadi in the village. There is also a government school up to class 5th.

It is well connected with Highway no. 73 (Ambala to Jagadhri) from south side and Highway from Nahan to Shahbaad Markanda from north west side. Its adjacent villages are Dheen, Ponti, Alipur, Duliana and Duliyani.
