The Sacred Heart Church, Tajpur also known as Raja Ka Tajpur Church is a Roman Catholic cathedral belonging to the Latin Rite and one of the oldest church buildings in Bijnor, India. It occupies a approximate area of 5 acres near the eastern outskirts of Raja Ka Tajpur town on Noorpur- Seohara road.[1] Christian religious services are held throughout the year.
History
Sacred Heart Church was built by Raja Shyam Singh Rikh, a wealthy local zamindar, for his French wife, Margaret Mary, who was 28 years younger to him. The church was built on a spread of 12 bighas in 1913. The zamindar later converted to Christianity.[2]

Church Structure
The church building is built in Baroque architecture style which stands tall between greenery and trees all around on Noorpur- Seohara road.[5] Church Premises have a big circular field and a park few meters ahead. Entering the church premises the Church has a U-shaped building with two towers at the entrance which are visible from distant and has a big spacious hall and an altar.
Parish members
There are 50 families and total strength of 250 people. Christian devotees are the people from various regions of India such as Jharkhand, Punjab, South India etc. apart from local Christians who settled here due to the reason of employment.
