SCENECS International Debut Film Festival

SCENECS International Debut Film Festival is an annual film festival, held in the spring in various cinemas in the city of Hilversum, the Netherlands.

SCENECS International Debut Film Festival offers debuting directors and producers a platform for public screening of their first (or second) film. The festival’s design is to promote new film makers and stimulate cooperation between them, their audience and the film industry.[1] SCENECS consist of a film festival, award ceremony, international exchange program and different activities with regards to film education and the development of talent.

History

SCENECS International Debut Film Festival[2] was founded in 2006 by the Dutch film maker Arya Tariverdi.

Awards

The Dutch Golden Stone Award[3] is awarded yearly during the grand gala award ceremony in the categories fiction, short fiction, documentary, audience award and lifetime achievement award.
