The S.B.O.A Matric. & Hr.Sec.School is recognized by the Govt. of Tamil Nadu. The School was started in June 1985. The school is co-educational and the medium of instruction is English. S.B.O.A. Matric. & Hr. Sec. School, Coimbatore is run by the State Bank of India Officer's Association Educational Trust.It is located in the city of Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India. .[1]

The school principal is Mrs. Geetha Gopinath M.Sc., M.Ed., M.Phil., and the Vice-principal is Mr. M.S. Sundararaman M.Sc., M.Ed., M.Phil., D.S.A., and the total number of staff is 192.4083 students (58.7% male) were enrolled in grades LKG through XII. The school hosts one of the best quizzing teams in Coimbatore. The quizzing teams are encouraged, motivated and lead by Mr.L.Sivaram, the school librarian. "He is a energetic and a caring person. The school has laboratories for physics, chemistry, biology and computers, as well as a primary laboratory, a 17000-volume library and book shop. The school's auditorium has a capacity of around 3000. Classrooms are equipped with smart board interactive whiteboards.[3]
