Apletodon wirtzi (English: São Tomé clingfish) is a species of marine fish of the Gobiesocidae (clingfish) family. As it is tiny, this fish grows to 1.4 cm maximal length. It occurs in the eastern Atlantic, around the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe down to the depths of about 100 metres. The species were described in 2007 and named it after Peter Wirtz who also founded and described several marine species in the area.
In 2012, it is the only known endemic saltwater fish that is not perennial.
