National Route 101 (国道101号 Kokudō Hyakuichigō) is a national highway of Japan connecting Aomori, Aomori and Akita, Akita in Japan, with a total length of 251.2 km (156.09 mi). The majority of the highway travels along the coast of the Sea of Japan, often paralleling National Route 7.
History
- 18 May 1953: Second Class National Highway 101 (from Aomori, Aomori to Noshiro, Akita)
- 1 April 1965: General National Highway 101 (from Aomori, Aomori to Noshiro, Akita)
- 1 April 1993: General National Highway 101 (from Aomori, Aomori to Akita, Akita)
