Rose Mhando

Rose Muhando was born in 1975 and she is a Tanzanian African Gospel Queen

Biography Queen of Gospel Music Africa Rose Muhando is an African Award winning Gospel Artist whom is actually known across Africa as The Queen Mother Of Gospel Music In Africa and she is the richest Gospel Singer in Africa and also the only singer who sales millions of album copys everytime she releases an album

She started her music career as a choir teacher in Dodoma's Saint Mary's Choir for the Chimuli Anglican Church.

On 31 January 2005, Rose Muhando was awarded the best composer, best singer, and for the best album of the year during the Tanzania Gospel Music Award Concert, 2004.

In December 2005 she participated in a Gospel concert to help raise funds for a Dar es Salaam children orphanage.

On Feb 2011 Rose Muhando signed multi album recording deal with Sony Music. The signing was announced at a press conference in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, on 9 February and is the first deal of its kind for East Africa.

  • 2009 The Best Tanzanian Gospel Singer Awards: Rose Mhando; The Best Singer in Tanzania, awarded Tsh 200, 000 by Tanzania Broadcasting Corporation TBC under the Umbrella of her song called ‘Nibebe’
  • 2008 Kenya Groove Awards - best female gospel artist in Africa
