Robert Gerald Casey (born September 23, 1967) is an American priest of the Catholic Church and serves as auxiliary bishop for the Archdiocese of Chicago.

Biography

On May 21, 1994, Casey was ordained to the priesthood. Pope Francis appointed Casey auxiliary bishop for the Archdiocese of Chicago on July 3, 2018.^[1] ^[2] On September 17, 2018, Casey was consecrated as a bishop.

In 2008, Casey was removed from the ministry for four weeks and investigated by the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services after accusations were alleged while he was pastor at Our Lady of Tepeyac Parish in the Little Village neighborhood of Chicago. State investigators determined that the claim was unfounded and Casey was returned to ministry.^[3]
