In Hinduism, Rishabha is one of the twenty two avatars of Vishnu in the Bhagavata Purana. Rishabha is also considered as the avatar of Lord Shiva [1][2][3] Some scholars state that this avatar is same as the first Tirthankara of Jainism.[4]
