Ring of Elysium (RoE, Chinese: 无限法则) is free-to-play,[1] multiplayer online battle royale game developed by Tencent Games and published by Tencent Games & Garena. In North America and parts of Asia it was released on Steam[2] on September 19th, 2018 as a free-to-play early access game.[3] A European release is planned for a later date.[4]

Plot

Sixty people are trapped in a snow mountain assaulted by a disastrous snowstorm- Ymir, the only way out is a rescue flight which can only save up to four people. Survivors must stay ahead of the approaching storm while eliminating competition

Development

Ring of Elysium is a re-development of an earlier game called Europa.[5] The game is developed with Tencent Games's QuickSilverX engine.[6]

The game underwent a closed beta test phase on Garena Launcher which was set to end at July 10, 2018 for its Thailand server, and June 4, 2018 for its Indonesian server.[7]

Classes

There are 3 classes to choose from before you spawn:

Gliding class

Has the highest mobility at 3 but the lowest capacity at 1. You will spawn with a Glock 17 handgun with 15 9mm rounds, and 5 bandages. Uses a glider for great mobility.

Skiing class

The middle ground of the 3 classes available and it is the most balanced. It has a mobility of 2 and a capacity of 2. You will spawn with a USP45 handgun with 15 .45 ACP rounds and 5 bandages. Uses a snowboard for a decent amount of speed.

Climbing class

Has the lowest mobility at 1 but the highest capacity at 3. You will spawn with a Citori 12 gauge shotgun and 5 bandages. Uses a climbing axe and zipline tool. Locations for both are marked on the map by thick lines or diamonds indicating the access points for the zipline tool and climbing walls for the ice axe respectively.
