Ren Narita (成田 蓮 Narita Ren, born November 29, 1997[3]) is a Japanese professional wrestler currently signed to New Japan Pro-Wrestling.

Early life

Narita has played several sports before becoming a wrestler, including baseball, kendo and wrestling.[3][1]

Professional wrestling career

New Japan Pro Wrestling (2017–present)

Narita was trained under New Japan's "young lion" system. Narita made his professional wrestling debut against Shota Umino in a ten minute time limit draw at Lion's Gate Project 7.[4][5][6] Later that month Narita had his second match, teaming with Umino where they lost to El Desperado and Zack Sabre Jr. of Suzuki-gun.[7]

Narita competed in the 11th Young Lion Cup gaining 1 point after a time limit draw against Tetsuhiro Yagi.[8][9][10][11][12][13][14]

Narita and Tomoyuki Oka defeated Jyushin Thunder Liger and Tetsuhiro Yagi.[15] At Big Pro-Wrestling Festival 2018, Narita and Tiger Mask defeated Jyushin Thunder Liger and Yagi.[16] At New Year Dash, Narita teamed with Yagi, Oka and Umino in a losing effort to the team of Manabu Nakanishi, Yuji Nagata and Tencozy.[17] On January 31, 2018, Narita and KUSHIDA were defeated by Tiger Mask and Jyushin Thunder Liger.[18] At Lion's Gate 11 on April 10, Ren won his first singles match when he defeated Yuya Uemura. At Lion's Gate Project 13 he defeated Shunsuke Sayama.[19]
