Ray Ward Gunsmith is a retailer of sporting guns based in Knightsbridge, London.[1] Ray Ward provides shotguns and hunting rifles from the gun makers with English heritage including Boss & Co., Purdey and Watson Brothers. They also supply shooting accessories and clothing.[2][3]

History

Ray Ward (5 May 1923 – 15 July 2013) compiled numerous national and European titles in numerous disciplines, especially his favourite, skeet.[4] In 1961 after his career he opened his own business, Continental Sports in Redhill, Surrey selling a wide range of sports equipment and accessories. He soon began supplying shotgun cartridges for a local gun shop and Ray Ward Gunsmith was born. In 1994 Ray Ward opened a showroom in the middle of the English gun trade in Knightsbridge, London. The company bought by Dubai based JMH Group in 2006.

Sporting Guns

Ray Ward still make guns, but also sell a wide range of other makes including traditional English shotguns, and European and North American guns.[5] Ray Ward sells English and European sporting guns, including Boss & Co., Purdey, Watson Brothers, Holland & Holland, Beretta and Browning.[6]

Attire and Accessories

In 2014 Ray Ward launched their ‘Made to Order’ Collection.[7]

Ray Ward provides shooting attire as well. Celebrity Chef Marco Pierre-White was quoted as saying, "That might sound weird but everything I need is in Ray Ward Gunsmith in Knightsbridge. That's where I get all my wellies, shirts, jackets and of course the most stylish rifles. I'm always out deer-stalking and you need to look the part." [8]
