Pune Institute of Business Management (PIBM) is a private business school headquartered in Pune, Maharashtra, India. It is affiliated with Savitribai Phule Pune University. It offers postgraduate courses in its main campus and graduation courses in two campuses, in Solan, Himachal Pradesh and Guwahati, Assam.

History

Pune Institute of Business Management [1] was set up in the year 2007 with its first management Program PGPBM in Bavdhan Campus. In 2009, PIBM established its own campus at Pirangut with 2.5 acres area. In 2010, PIBM got the AICTE approval and launched PGDM course with syllabus design approved from Industry. Gradually every year PIBM is coming up with new concepts of teaching and training which is aligned with Corporate World [2] to make its students updated with new market trends.

Campus

PIBM is situated on the outskirts of Pune in the vicinity of Industrial Area at Pirangut. Campus is spread across 2.5 Acres. PIBM Pune campus is fully WIFI with various facilities provided for the students.

Class Room

All the classrooms are equipped with audio-video systems and overhead projectors.

Auditoriums

Campus has a 500-seater in-house auditorium for conducting Industry talks, student functions, and corporate lectures.

Seminar hall

PIBM also has a 200-seater seminar hall for conducting seminar talks and smaller events.

Hostel

There are separate boys and girls hostels for all students, across all programs. All the rooms are Wi-Fi enabled and are provided with transportation facility.

Sports

The campus also houses a 24x7 gymnasium, has playgrounds and facilities for indoor sports.

IT Lab

PIBM has 100+ desktops computers which are equipped with internet access and printers facility. All students are also given the Laptops at the time of the admission.

Bloomberg Terminal

PIBM has provided a Bloomberg Terminal to students which gives access to real time financial data, news and analytics to know about the market updates.

Academics

The curriculum is divided into academic areas: Marketing; Finance and Accounts; Human Resources & Organizational Behavior; Information Technology; Production & Operations Management; General Management, Business Communication, Aptitude Skills, Managerial Economics. The PGDM and MBA curriculum consists of two internship programs i.e. Winter Internship and Summer Internship.

Management Programs

  • Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM):

Two- year full-time program with a specialization in Marketing, Finance and HR. which is an AICTE approved course.

  • Master of Business Administration (MBA):

Two-year full-time program with specializations in Marketing, Finance, and HR affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University.

Live Projects

As part of curriculum, PIBM students are provided with live projects in different domains which helps them to get more familiar with corporate world and improve their understanding regarding the industry.

Winter Internship

After the completion of Semester 1, Students take up one month of internship in different fields. The students work on different projects which help them to get more familiar with the corporate world.

Summer Internship

After the completion of Semester 2, Students take up two months of internship in their particular specialization. The students work on different projects which help them to get more familiar with the corporate world.

Trainers

The college has 100+ members of training team, all well-known and highly respected in their respective academic & corporate fraternities. Many of these trainers are visiting faculties in other reputed institutes such as Wharton, Harvard, IIMs, etc. Similarly many of them are CEOs, CFOs and VPs in various organizations.

Events

Pioneer Convergence 2017

PIBM hosts an annual business conclave called "Pioneer Convergence"[3] and a CEO meet event called "CEO Charisma"[4]. It also hosts an annual cultural and managerial festival called Glory.

Glory is a cultural and managerial fest of PIBM where brightest minds showcase their acumen for the events. This event is the most awaited event of the year for the students. Glory is of 3 days, where students of different college participate with all enthusiasm. Every year fashion shows and celebrity performances are the major attractions of the fest.
