This article lists political parties of National Assembly of Armenia and represents their programs. Armenia became independent state in 1991. Since then many political parties were formed in it, who mainly work with each other to form coalition governments. Currently the country has a multi-party system.
Republican Party of Armenia
Republican Party of Armenia (Armenian: Հայաստանի Հանրապետական Կուսակցություն: Hayastani Hanrapetakan Kusakcutyun)is the ruling party in Armenia. It has the majority of places in National Assembly of the state, 69 out of 131. Its current leader, who is also the president of Armenia is Serj Sargsyan and it was founded in 1990.
Prosperous Armenia Party
Prosperous Armenia party (Armenian: Բարգավաճ Հայաստան Կուսակացություն: Bargavatch Hayastan Kusakcutyun: abbreviation: ԲՀԿ, BHK). The party was formed in 2004 and its current leader is Gagik Tsarukyan. There is a debate whether Robert Kocharyan, the first president of the republic has a strong influence over the party. The party is second with the number of members in the national assembly, 37.

Rule of Law (Armenian: Օրինաց երկիր, Orinats’ Yerkir) abbreviated as ՕԵԿ, OEK, is a centrist political party in Armenia, led by Artur Baghdasarian. It is the fourth largest party in the National Assembly of Armenia. In the 2007 Armenian parliamentary elections, it only obtained 9 seats in parliament, in contrast to 19 seats in the 2003 elections.
In the February 2008 presidential election, Baghdasarian was the party's candidate; he placed third with 17.7% of the vote according to final official results.
Rule of Law political party is part of the newly formed ruling coalition.
Way Out Alliance
In December 2016, the Way Out Alliance, emerged as a liberal political alliance in Armenia. The alliance has a Pro-European orientation and believes that Armenia should have closer relations with the European Union. As a result of the 2018 Armenian protests, Nikol Pashinyan was appointed Prime Minister of Armenia and his party, Civil Contract (Armenia), is a member of the Way Out Alliance liberal coalition.
