Private Room is the third studio album by Avant. It peaked at number four on Billboard magazine's Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart.[2] and number 18 on the Billboard 200 chart.[3] The single "Read Your Mind" reached #13 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

This marks Avant's first release under Geffen Records, as the label absorbed his previous label, MCA Records, in early 2003.
