Powerlifting at the 2020 Summer Paralympics in Tokyo, Japan. It will be held at the Tokyo International Forum.
Qualification
There will be a total of 180 powerlifters who would compete in the Games based on their rankings on 25th April 2020 when the Paralympic ranking lists are published. There would be eight top ranked male powerlifters and six top ranked female powerlifters per event (with the inclusion of twenty bipartite qualification slots which would be announced by May 2020) based on their bodyweight category which they are listed on[1].
The rankings begin on 25th May 2018 and ends on 23rd April. Here is a list of world and regional championships in which powerlifters will compete to gain points respectively[2]:
