Polish presidential election in 1926 took place on 31 May by the National Assembly and were held in a single round. The elections were held soon after the "May Coup" when Pilsudski overthrew the government led by the President of Poland Wojciechowski. They were, however, unsuccessful as Pilsudski refused the position. This led to the Polish presidential election, June 1926.
