From 2014, Pokémon was shown on Hungama TV and then shifted to Disney XD India. The Pokémon anime is dubbed in three languages: Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. In 2014, the Pokémon anime had an Indian audience of 96.9 million viewers on Hungama TV.[1]
Television Series
Cartoon Network and Pogo
It first aired on Cartoon Network with its first season being Pokémon: Indigo League on May 12, 2003, with the original English audio, and Hindi dubbed in house of Crest Animation Studio up to season 1-4. After that, Sound and Vision got rights from Cartoon Network India to dub the anime. While Cartoon Network was airing Pokemon Episodes from Season 5 to Season 9, the channel also introduced two new languages: Tamil and Telugu, dubbed by the Vision and Sound Company in Mumbai. Starting with the Diamond and Pearl series, the Pokemon anime shifted to Pogo. Pogo TV is a sister channel of Cartoon Network India. Pogo TV started Pokemon Season 10 to 13 in the original English audio with a Hindi dub. It shifted back to Cartoon Network with Season 14. Season 14 was not dubbed in Tamil and Telugu, but available only in the original English audio and had a Hindi dub by Sound and Vision India.
