Philip Sankey

Philip Menzies Sankey (17 April 1830 – 9 March 1909) was an English first-class cricketer active 1848–52 who played for Kent and for both of Cambridge University and Oxford University. He was born in Kensington; died in Montreux.[1]

Sankey was educated at Corpus Christi College, Oxford. After graduating he became a Church of England priest and was rector of Highclere, Hampshire, 1858–68. He was chaplain at Pegli 1869–72 and at Montreux 1879–86.[2]
