Petru Racu (born 17 July 1987) is a Moldovan football player, who currently plays for Sheriff Tiraspol and for Moldova national team as a defender.

Career

Club career

Racu was recruited in 2007 by IFK Norrköping from FC Zimbru Chişinău. During the 2008 season, he was loaned to the Finnish club MYPA. Originally recruited as a forward, Racu has also played as a midfielder and, since the 2009 season, as a defender. In February 2012, Racu transferred to the Danish club FC Hjørring and in July 2012, he was released from the club.[2]

International career

In 2010, Racu was called up to the Moldova national football team, making his debut in a friendly match against Georgia on 11 August.

Personal life

Petru Racu is married to Swedish model Mix Haxholm. She is native from Thailand, but currently lives in Sweden.[4]
