Parklife is an independent music festival held annually in Manchester, England. It moved from Platt Fields Park, Rusholme, to Heaton Park in north Manchester in 2012 in order to accommodate the increased numbers attending.[2] It is jointly organised by a number of groups, including The Warehouse Project.[3] In 2018, the festival was headlined by the xx and Liam Gallagher.[4] This music festival is a two-day non- camping festival.[5]

Artists

Dizzee Rascal headlined in 2012 and Disclosure in 2013. The line up for 2014 included Snoop Dogg, Foals, Rudimental, Disclosure and London Grammar,[6] while 2015's event was headlined by Disclosure and Rudimental, and featured performances from Nas, Caribou, Fatboy Slim and Jamie Jones.

2014 festival

The 2014 festival was attended by around 140,000 patrons over the two days.[7] Police made 29 arrests, two teenagers were stabbed and a 26-year-old man was killed by a punch to the head.[8]
