PNS Iqbal (Urdu: پایگاه بحریہ اقبال) is a naval base that serve as headquarters of the Special Services Group Navy (SSG[N]) that is located on the Karachi coast, Sindh, Pakistan.[1]
The base was commissioned in 1968 and it serves a joint training institution for the Pakistan Marines and the SSG[N] where the initial and special forces training takes place.[2] The X-class submarines are also stationed in the PNS Iqbal since 1970s.:286[3] The PNS
