Oxxford Clothes is a high-end men's suit and sport coat manufacturer based in Chicago, Illinois. Individualized Apparel Group currently owns the brand.[1]

History

In 2008 Forbes reported that Oxxford's made-to-measure suits started at $3,500; and bespoke suits started at $5,000.[2]

Recent history

In 2016 Oxxford sold its historic building in Chicago's West Loop on Van Buren Street,[3] and moved to the Southwest Side on Archer Avenue near Midway Airport. Following the move, Oxxford partnered with Richard Bennett Custom Tailors in the Loop for client fittings.[4] Oxxford Clothes currently produces nearly 8,000 suits per year, far less than the 35,000 suits Oxxford produced annually in the 1980s.[4]

Awards and accolades

In 2001, Forbes magazine rated Oxxford the best American suit.[5] In 2010 Oxxford Clothes was called "the quintessential American suit maker" by the Robb Report.[6]
