Oscar Riera Ojeda Publishers is an independent publishing company founded in 2008 specializing in contemporary architecture, building documentation, building design, industrial design, and architectural theory, as well as thematic compilations on cities, landscape architecture, digital architecture, sustainable architecture, architectural history, and architectural photography. Thousands of volumes provide an overview of modernist architecture, grounded in early twentieth-century masterworks from Edwin Lutyens and Frank Lloyd Wright through Ludwig Mies van der Rohe and Luis Barragán. The company's craft of book making has earned recognition for high-concept objets d’art books.

The company was founded in 2008 by editor and designer Oscar Riera Ojeda, born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 1966.[1] Editorial and design offices are located in the United States, China and Argentina. Previously, Mr. Riera Ojeda was founder, publishers, art director of ORO editions, and senior managing director of Novus Creative Group, producing the Spanish-Argentinian magazine Casa Internacional and other series, such as Contemporary World Architects, Ten Houses, Single Building, and Art and Architecture, a series for the Whitney Library of Design, and topical publication on architectural analytics.[2][3][4][5][6] The company formed a partnership with Beijing-based printer Artron Enterprises Ltd., recipient of the Printing Industries of America Benny award, among hundreds of awards for art book production.

Oscar Riera Ojeda Publishers produces The Extraordinary Buildings Series (EB), a record of exceptional contemporary buildings constructed in China, in digital and in book format. In addition to publishing books on architecture and design, the company established The Architectural Photography Foundation (APF), a professional organization in the field of architectural photography, providing programs and services to the profession, and archiving the largest global collection of contemporary architectural photography. Limited is a branch of the company's which endeavors to archive, exhibit, promote, and sell a selection of limited edition books, in collaboration with thousands of publishers, institutions, and collectors, on a variety of topics including art, architecture, photography, politics, literature, science, sports, and entertainment.[7] Limited is composed of a network of galleries, archival mega-walls, and retail spaces in Beijing, Shanghai, and Shenzhen, offering books for research, review, and purchase through a worldwide distribution network.[8][9][10]

Oscar Riera Ojeda Publishers is an international team of designers, writers, editors and publishing industry professionals focused on the design professions and the production of books which are cultural artifacts. Oscar Riera Ojeda has published monographs and special volumes and series on world renown modernist architects, including Alvar Aalto, Aedas, Alberto Campo Baeza, BAK Architects, Bohlin Cywinski Jackson, Bedmar and Shi, Wendell Burnette, Hariri & Hariri, Ralph Johnson, Rodolpho Machado & Jorge Silvetti, José Oubrerie, George Ranalli, Kyu Sung Woo, and Lauretta Vinciarelli.[11][12][13][14][15][16][17] The company has worked in association with universities and cultural organizations, such as the School of Architecture of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, School of Architecture, The University of Texas College of Fine Arts in Austin, Harvard Graduate School of Design, Cambridge, Mass., University of British Columbia, University of Toronto, and the Architectural Photography Foundation of Hong Kong and China.[18][19] Contributors incluude Michael Sorkin, Rodolphe el-Koury, William J.R. Curtis, Joseph Giovannini, Paul Goldberger, Susan Szenasy, Ada Louise Huxtable, Geoffrey London, Herbert Muschamp, Robert McCarter, and Anthony Vidler.

Oscar Riera Ojeda Publishers is the recipient of over 45 Independent Book Publishers Association (IBPA) Benjamin Franklin Awards for recognition in editorial and design excellence.[20]
