Oatman Flat Station later Fourr's Stage Station, was a stagecoach station of the Butterfield Overland Mail located along the Gila River in Maricopa County, Arizona. The site was located 20 miles east of Flap-Jack Ranch and 20 miles west of Murderer's Grave Station.[2] It was located near the Gila River at Oatman Flat[1] nearby to the east of the Oatman Grave It is four miles west of "painted rocks" Petroglyph site. 33°00′16″N 113°09′21″W / 33.00444°N 113.15583°W / 33.00444; -113.15583, of the family of Royse Oatman that were buried there along the Southern Emigrant Trail following their massacre by Yavapai in 1851.[3]
