Clarksville-Montgomery County School System (CMCSS) is a system of schools in Montgomery County, Tennessee serving a population of over 147,000 people. It is the seventh largest district in Tennessee and has earned whole district accreditation. CMCSS is also ISO 9001 certified. Dr. B. J. Worthington is the Director of Schools.
There are 39 schools in the district serving approximately 32,000 children from pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade: one K-5 magnet school, 23 elementary, seven middle, seven high, and one middle college (on the campus of Austin Peay State University).
The school system employs about 3,900 teachers, administrators and support staff.
