Clarksville High School is a public high school located in Clarksville in Montgomery County, Tennessee. It is part of the Clarksville-Montgomery County School System. The original building was built in 1906 but the school moved to the current building in 1968. The attendance is 1,432 as of the 2015-16 school year. Its mascot is Wiley the Wildcat. The School colors are Purple and Gold, even though the sports teams prefer the stylish, Purple and Black. Athletics are part of the TSSAA. The School meets expectations for the Standardized Tests and ACT's.[2][3]

Athletics

Clarksville High has had multiple championship winning teams. Girls sports have won multiple State Championships. Girls Soccer won the state title in 2014 and 2016 with a 2nd Place trophy in 2015. The women's golf team won the state title in 2016, their third.[4] Softball has made multiple appearances in the state tournament but have fallen short of making the final round in 2013-2015.

Their women's basketball team last appeared in the playoffs in 2011, but lost to Beech High School in the 1st Round. Bashaara Graves (class of 2012) played for Pat Summitt for the Tennessee Lady Volunteers basketball. She was drafted by the Minnesota Lynx in 2016.

Isaac Shelby serves as the football coach.

NFL player Harry Galbreath (class of 1983) played football at Clarksville.

Donny Everett (class of 2015) played for the Vanderbilt Commodores baseball team. He died in 2016 after an accidental drowning while fishing with friends.[5]

NBA players Trenton Hassell (class of 1997) and Shawn Marion (class of 1996) played at Clarksville.
