The Nissan NT500 is a light/medium truck produced by Nissan between 2014 and 2016.
History
The NT500 was unveiled in 2013 and was aimed at replacing the Atleon.[1] Its production started in February 2014 at Nissan's Ávila plant in Spain.[2] The assembly was indefinitely halted by late 2016[3] and, in February 2017, Nissan confirmed the end of production because of the low sales volume.[4]
Renault Trucks has sold the vehicle as the Renault Trucks D Cab 2 m.[1]
Technical details
The truck has versions with 3.5, 5.6, 6.5 and 7.5 tonnes GVW. The NT500 is powered by the ZD30, a 3-litre inline-four diesel engine. The engine was available in two versions: one with single turbocharger and the other twin-turbo. The first has a power output of 150 hp (112 kW) and a torque of 350 N⋅m (260 lb⋅ft). The second, only used in the 7.5 tonnes GVW version, power output of 177 hp (132 kW) and a torque of 540 N⋅m (400 lb⋅ft). Gearboxes are six-speed manual and automated.[2]
