Nikita Dutta (born 13 November 1990) is an Indian television actress. She was one of the finalists of Femina Miss India 2012. She made her Bollywood debut with the film Lekar Hum Deewana Dil where she played a supporting role. She made her television debut with the show Dream Girl. She is best known for her portrayal of Suman Malhotra in Ek Duje Ke Vaaste and Aanchal Srivastava in Haasil.

Life and family

Nikita Dutta was born on 13 November 1990 to Anand Dutta and Alka Dutta in Delhi.[3] She has a sister named Ankita Dutta.[4] As her father is a naval officer in the Indian navy, she has spent most of her life living in Visakhapatnam, Mumbai and Kochi.[5] She has done her schooling from Mumbai. She is an Economics graduate from St. Xavier's College, Mumbai.

Career

She participated in Femina Miss India 2012 and landed up as one of the finalists. She made her Bollywood debut with Saif Ali Khan's film Lekar Hum Deewana Dil. She played the role of Rose.[6]

In 2015, she made her Indian television debut with Dream Girl opposite Mohsin Khan and alongside Shraddha Arya where she played the lead role of Lakshmi Sareen, a small town girl that aspires to become an actress.[7] The show ended on 4 March 2016.[8] In 2016, she landed a lead role in the Sony Entertainment Television show Ek Duje Ke Vaaste opposite Namik Paul.[9] She played the role of Suman Shravan Malhotra, a confident girl who loves cooking and wishes to have her own restaurant.[10]

Since 2017, she was playing the female protagonist in the Sony Entertainment Television show, Haasil opposite Zayed Khan and Vatsal Seth.The show aired its last episode on 23 February 2018.[11] She played the role of Aanchal Srivastava, a lawyer who dares to stand up against the Raichands.[12]
