Nikema Williams

Nikema Williams is an American politician. She currently serves as a member of the Georgia State Senate for District 39, succeeding Vincent Fort in a special election in 2017 after his resignation to compete in the Atlanta mayoral election. She also serves as First Vice-Chair of the Democratic Party of Georgia, and was a delegate to the 2008, 2012 and 2016 Democratic National Conventions. Prior to being elected as state senator, Williams served as vice-president of Public Policy for Planned Parenthood Southeast[1]. In 2013, Williams briefly served as acting chair of the DPG between the resignation of Mike Berlon and the election of DuBose Porter as chair.

She is a graduate of Talladega College.
