Nick L. Salazar (born April 18, 1929) is a Democratic member of the New Mexico House of Representatives, representing the 40th District since 1974. He resides in Ohkay Owingeh, New Mexico.[1]

Salazar is an alumnus of University of California, Santa Barbara. He served in the United States Air Force, attaining the rank of sergeant. He was also a county commissioner from 1964 to 1968.[2] In 2013, Salazar was presented with a lifetime achievement award from Los Alamos National Security for his contributions to the organizations in research.[3][4] Salazar is also one of the longest served state representatives ever in New Mexico, as well as the longest currently sitting state legislator.[5]

Salazar and his wife have three children.[1]
