Nexperia is a Dutch global semiconductor manufacturer headquartered in Nijmegen. They are the former Standard Products business unit of NXP Semiconductors (formerly Philips Semiconductors). On June 14, 2016,[2] it was announced that Nexperia would be divested from NXP to a consortium of financial investors consisting of Beijing Jianguang Asset Management Co., Ltd (“JAC Capital”) and Wise Road Capital LTD (“Wise Road Capital”). This transaction closed on 6th of February 2017.

JAC Capital and Wise Road Capital is focusing on global investments, including investment in R&D, manufacturing and customer service.[2] Following the transaction, Nexperia became an independent company, and the entire scope of the NXP Standard Products business, including its management team, led by Frans Scheper, and approximately 11 thousand NXP employees were transferred to Nexperia.[2]

Before becoming the company name for the spun-out Standards Products business, Nexperia was NXP's sub-brand for a range of media processors[3]
