Nemanja Bilbija (born 2 November 1990) is a Bosnian-Herzegovinian professional footballer who plays as a forward for Bosnian-Herzegovinian Premier League club Zrinjski Mostar and the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team.
Club career
In 2008, Bilbija signed first professional contract with Borac Banja Luka as a 17-year-old, having previously spent 8 years in youth selections of his hometown team.[2]
In January 2010 he moved to Serbian side Vojvodina.[3] During his time at Vojvodina, he had two loan spells with his former club, Borac Banja Luka.[4]
Upon leaving Vojvodina, Bilbija signed with Sarajevo in 2013.[5]
In the summer of 2015, Bilbija signed a two-year deal with Split.[6]
Bilbija returned to Bosnia and Herzegovina in February 2016, signing with Zrinjski Mostar until June 2018.[7]
International career
Bilbija represented Bosnia and Herzegovina under-21 level. In 2011, he became the captain of the under-21 side.[8] With 9 goals, he is the top scorer of Bosnia's under-21 team in their history.[9]
In August 2017 he received his first call-up to the senior national team, for 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Cyprus and Gibraltar.[10]
Personal life
Nemanja is a son of Milorad Bilbija, former Borac Banja Luka player.[11]
