Nausheen Hamid (Urdu: نوشین حامد; born 19 February 1961) is a Pakistani politician who has been a member of the National Assembly of Pakistan since August 2018. Previously she was a Member of the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab, from May 2013 to May 2018.

Early life and education

She was born on 19 February 1961 in Lahore.[1]

She earned the degree of Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery in Biochemistry in 1986 from Dow Medical College.[1]

Political career

She was elected to the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab as a candidate of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on a reserved seat for women in Pakistani general election, 2013.[2][3]

She was elected to the National Assembly of Pakistan as a candidate of PTI on a seat reserved for women from Punjab in the Pakistani general election, 2018.[4]

On 27 September 2018, Prime Minister Imran Khan appointed her as Federal Parliamentary Secretary for national health services, regulations and coordination.[5]
