Nargis Sethi
Nargis Sethi (Urdu: نرگس سیٹھی) is a retired Pakistani civil service officer who served in BPS-22 grade.[1] Sethi belonged to the Pakistan Administrative Service.
Career
Sethi belonged to the Pakistan Administrative Service and was promoted to the highest rank of Grade 22 in October 2010. Sethi served at various high-profile bureaucratic positions including:[2]
•Secretary Economic Affairs
•Cabinet Secretary of Pakistan
•Secretary Water and Power
•Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister
•Defence Secretary of Pakistan
After her retirement from the civil services, she was appointed as member of the Federal Public Service Commission.[3]
Education
Sethi holds post-graduate degrees in international relations from Karachi University, defence studies from Quaid-e-Azam University, and a Master of Science in Development Administration from a university in the United States.[4]
Personal life
Sethi is married to Saleem Sethi who is also a retired senior civil service officer.
She was the first woman in the country's history to be posted as Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister.[2]
