Nainital (Lok Sabha constituency)

Nainital Lok Sabha constituency (Hindi: नैनीताल लोक सभा निर्वाचन क्षेत्र) was a Lok Sabha (parliamentary) constituency in Uttarakhand. This constituency came into existence in 1957 and existed until 2009, following the delimitation of Lok Sabha constituencies. It Consisted of the following Assembly Segments Before creatition of Uttarakhand 1. Nainital 2. Kashipur 3. Haldwani 4. Khatima 5. Baheri

After creatition of Uttarakhand in 2000 AD. This constituency was reorganised as well the assembly segments of newly created Uttarakhand State was also reorganised. After that it consisted of the following assembly segments. Nainital District 1. Mukteshwar (SC) 2. Nainital 3. Dhari 4. Haldwani 5. Ramnagar Udham Singh Nagar District 6. Jaspur 7. Kashipur 8. Bazpur 9. Ghadarpur-Pantnagar 10. Rudrapur-Kichha 11. Sitarganj (SC) 12. Khatima (ST) Champawat District 13. Champawat (only some booths in Tanakpur-Banbasa region which were part of erstwhile Khatima Assembly Segment of Uttar Pradesh Vidhan Sabha.)
