Nagar Untari (Hindi: नगर उंटारी) is one of the administrative block of Garhwa district, Jharkhand state, India. It is located 40 km towards west from District headquarters Garhwa. Princely State (Nagar Garh)

Nagar Untari is a Royal estate which was once ruled by the Deo Family. Bhaiya Rudra Pratap Deo was the last ruler to have ruled the place. The family owns a magnificent fort in the city which is very near to bansidhar mandir and is a sight to view. The family still stays in fort and are actively involved in the state politics.The head of the Royal Family is Raja Raj Rajendra Pratap Deo. The another Scion of Royal Family Anant Pratap Deo is actively involved in State Politics and is working for upliftment and welfare of his people.
