Nachyn Sergeyevich Kuular (Russian: Начын Сергеевич Куулар; born 9 June 1995 in Tuva republic) is a breakdancer[2] and freestyle wrestler from Russia of Tuvin heritage who represented the Russian Federation at the 2017 World Wrestling Championships U23. World champion, European junior champion, Russian senior nationals 3rd.

Background

Kuular was born 9 June 1995 in Kyzyl, Russia. Nachyn started to train at 7 years under his first wrestling coach Aidan Samdan. He is 4x champion of Tuva freestyle wrestling championships.

High school

In 2013 he finished Russian junior nationals 13th then he competed at Russian senior nationals 2013 but there he was only 28th. At the end of high school he joined to Mindiashvili wrestling academy and won Siberian Federal District freestyle wrestling championships at 60 kilos.[3]

College

In the summer of 2016 he began studying at the Tuvan State University.[4] In 2015 Kuular won Junior European championships at 60 kilos, in final match he beat Selim Kozan of Turkey by technical superiority (13–2). After fail at the Olympic team trials 2016 he won Russian world team trials 2017 U23, then he competed at the World Championships U23 where he won a gold medal against Indian World senior bronze medalist Bajrang Punia.[5][6]

At the Golden Grand Prix Ivan Yarygin 2018 he won the bronze medal with 4-1 record at 65 kilos.

Personal life

Kuular likes Germany cars, he has BMW 3.[7]

He is an active soldier of the Russian Ground Forces.

A fan of Xöömej (Tuvin national songs) and hip-hop music.

His favorite wrestler is Opan Sat.
