The fifth season of NCIS: New Orleans was ordered on April 18, 2018.[1] The season premiered on September 25, 2018 on CBS.[2] The series will continue to air at Tuesday at 10:00 p.m. (ET) and will contain 24 episodes.[3] This season will contain its 100th episode.

Casting
On August 24, 2018, it was announced that Necar Zadegan would join the cast as Special Agent Hannah Khoury as a new series regular.[12]
