N.T.R. is an upcoming Indian Telugu language, biographical film based around the movie life of N. T. Rama Rao, produced by Nandamuri Balakrishna, Sai Korrapati Ranganatha and Vishnu Induri under NBK Films, Vaaraahi Chalana Chitram, and Vibri Media banners[2] and directed by Krish.[3] It is the first movie in the two part biographical movie series based on the life of former movie star and politician N. T. Rama Rao.[4] The film stars Nandamuri Balakrishna in his father's role[5] Vidya Balan plays the female lead making her debut in Telugu.[6] and music is composed by M. M. Keeravani.[7] The film has a sequel, N.T.R: Mahanayakudu.

Production
The film began on 29 March 2018 at Ramakrishna Cine Studios, Hyderabad.[9] Nandamuri Balakrishna dressed up as Duryodhana and started with his father's famous dialogue Yemantive Yemantive from the movie Daana Veera Soora Karna (1977).[10] Vice President Venkaiah Naidu given clap and K. Raghavendra Rao directed the first shoot.[11] Telangana Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav, Veteran actress Jamuna, Allu Aravind, Dr. Rajashekar, Jeevitha Rajashekar, Boyapati Srinu several industry stalwarts have graced the occasion. The film is planned to release to Dussera.[12] Initially Teja[13] was announced as director of movie but he walks out of the project due to creative differences with Balakrishna.[14][15]
