Mustafa Çağrıcı

Mustafa Çağrıcı (born 1950) is a Turkish professor for Islamic theology and a former mufti of Istanbul.[1]

Çağrıcı was born in Sivas. He guided Pope Benedict XVI during his visit to the Sultan Ahmed Mosque in Istanbul on November 30, 2006.

In 2018 he claimed “The Diyanet of today has a more Islamist, more Arab worldview”.[2]
