Mugdha Desai (Commonly Known as her native name, Mugdha Chaphekar) is a popular Indian television actress having worked in various successful shows like Dharti Ka Veer Yoddha "Prithviraj Chauhan" for Star Plus, "Satrangi Sasural" for Zee TV. She has been the leading lady of several other shows too.

She has won the 53rd Maharashtra State Award for The Best Actress Debut for her internationally acclaimed film The Silence. The film is set to release in 2017 deals with child sexual abuse within family and was directed by Gajendra Ahire.[1]
