History
Moulay Bousselham takes its name from its patron saint (thousands of people come to collect each year in this village). According to a popular belief, Moulay Bouselham, "man in the selham" - "man in the cape" - had come from Egypt before settling on the edge of the Merja Zerga. He died at the Battle of Three Kings in 1578 in Wadi al-Makhazin. Other saints have settled in the area and today no fewer than seven can be counted scattered throughout the village.
