Mosteiros Airport (IATA: MTI, ICAO: GVMT) was a public use airport, actually an airfield located near Mosteiros/ Musteru (Cape Verdean Creole), Cape Verde in the range of the northernmost point on the island, together with São Filipe (San Filipi, locally also called, "Bila" - Cape Verdean Creole), Fogo was the only island in Cape Verde that had two airports. The airfield operated at least since 1957 when Aero Clube de Cabo Verde opened a new air route to MTI/GVMT, with a Dove airplane which could transport 9 passengers.[3] It has been closed for several years and in August 1998, shut for good. Air services were replaced with São Filipe Airport. It was located more than 2 km WNW of town (now city) and lied in the westernmost section next to the village of Fajãzinha.

Its small former terminal building was on the west side of the airport, it had a road access to the west and linked with the Fogo Circular Road (EN1-FG01) nearby, further west is the branch road with Fajãzinha

The airport had a pozzolano paved runway that ran from ESE to WNW and was used for Twin Otter turboprops, it had flights with Francisco Mendes International Airport, an old airport in Praia on Santiago Island.

Today the old airport has no new buildings built over in recent years.
